Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake

Nothing goes better together than raspberry and dark chocolate. I've always wanted to make a cheesecake from scratch with a springform pan. For my husband's and I 11th year anniversary, we were just staying in and I thought I should make a special dessert. So this was it. It's a New York style cheesecake with raspberry and semi sweet chocolate spooned on top, when baked sporaticaly sunk into the top. After the cheesecake cooled I made a chocolate ganache to spread over the top. Then served with a dollop of whipped cream. This is a very rich dessert, but very decadent also. It was the perfect anniversary surprise.

Oh MinDee you are such a good little wife! :) Happy 11 years - holy freaking cow that's a long time. Way to work it. So, this cheesecake looks amazing. Probably way to rich for my taste buds. I hope that was the real deal whipped cream an none of that crappy whip topping. :) :) :)
